In these groups, you will meet others, share stories and learn valuable coping mechanisms that can keep you from relapsing. They send out reminders and congratulatory emails for quit milestones, and have a very active community. You can also learn about the benefits you reap the longer you abstain from smoking.
As you can see, there are so many quit smoking resources out there to help you. There is no reason to keep polluting your lungs with dangerous cigarette smoke anymore. In addition to all the resources described here, your doctor can be a fantastic source of help. There are prescription medications to help you quit as well as NRT or nicotine replacement therapy product to make your journey easier.
